To The Readers Of The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel :

Our chapter is proud to have been providing support and professional networking opportunities to Central Ohio's in-house legal community for over 20 years. Our high-quality, reasonably priced CLE programming and social events give chapter members the opportunity to discuss issues with other in-house counsel and benefit from their peers' experience and expertise.

This year our chapter established a sponsorship program that continues to build on our tradition of excellent programming. Our April program was sponsored by Ulmer & Berne LLP and featured a discussion of Corporate Counsel and Contracts followed by self-guided tours of the Jack Nicklaus Museum. In May, Schottenstein, Zox & Dunn Co., LPA sponsored a program that provided updates for corporate counsel on intellectual property, information technology and SEC trends followed by a special animal visit at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.

In June, Bricker & Eckler LLP will sponsor a program focusing on Ethics, Rule-making and Legislators and includes a tour of the Ohio State House.Lexis-Nexis will be sponsoring our July 13 program entitled Law, Technology and Legal Technology Tools for In-House Counsel. It will be held at the Columbus Museum of Art.Finally, please join us at the Columbus Zoo for our annual Community Service Event sponsored by Chester Willcox & Saxbe, LLP.This event will be held on September 17.

I invite your readers in Central Ohio to check out our website, www.acca.com/chapters/centroh.php, or contact me with any questions, ideas about how our chapter could assist in-house counsel, or interest in becoming more involved in CO-ACC. I can be reached at mannionb@nationwide.com.
