To The Readers Of The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel :
As I reflect on my term as the President of the Association of Corporate Counsel's Mid-America Chapter, I feel great pride in being a part of an organization whose volunteers give unstintingly of their time in service to the in-house legal community and whose sponsors generously contribute their resources to enable our Chapter to make programs and references available to our members that are specifically targeted to the needs of in-house counsel.
Last month's CLE ethics program entitled 'Can We Talk? Attorney Client Privilege, Records Retention and Records Creation within the Corporation' is a recent example. Sponsored by Shook Hardy & Bacon LLP and Data Systems International, Inc., the program covered the application of the attorney client privilege to corporate communications, ethics rules and cases addressing the attorney client privilege.
