To The Readers Of The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel :
There has never been a better time to be involved with ACC's Indiana Chapter. We are fortunate to have so many eager and willing volunteers committed to the task of enhancing the value that in-house counsel receive from this organization. I am certain the benefits of all their efforts will come through in the quality and quantity of the programs we make available to our in-house legal community over the next several months.
Among our marquee offerings, we host quarterly CLE luncheons, which have been a staple of our chapter for the past decade, and we now host monthly breakfast roundtables as well. Our most recent luncheon, held on May 19, featured a CLE program on legal ethics for in-house counsel at a fast-paced venue for networking - the Indianapolis Motor Speedway! Members were able to take advantage of free tickets to the track and watch some of the drivers complete high-speed practice laps upon the conclusion of the CLE program. Thanks to the generous support of our Gold Sponsor, Barnes & Thornburg LLP, we were able to make the event available with no registration fee for in-house counsel.
On May 19, we also co-hosted a monthly roundtable in Evansville on employment law. Our next breakfast roundtable will be held on June 21 in Indianapolis, and our next quarterly CLE luncheon will be held on August 25. Both will be hosted by one of our generous Silver Sponsor, Bingham McHale, LLP.
In addition, we are in the process of planning our first ever Gala Dinner event and our first ever Chapter Golf Outing, among other exciting events. I encourage your in-house Indiana readers to check our new and improved chapter website for updates about these and other upcoming events. You can find our website at www.acca.com/chapters/all_event.php?chapter=ind.
The energy among our Board and our volunteers is contagious, and the results rewarding! We are a humble and hard-working group, and input, comments, support and participation of Indiana's in-house counsel are always welcome. The Indiana corporate counsel community remains vibrant, and we are continually searching for ways to improve upon our association with that community.
