To the Readers Of The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel :
2005 was our first full year of operation as a new chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel, and I believe our members can all be proud of our collective success. Among our accomplishments, we established close working partnerships with a number of prominent local and national law firms and presented outstanding educational programs on various topics of interest to in-house counsel, including e-discovery, employment law, corporate compliance and intellectual property law.We also made time to develop relationships with members of our Chapter by holding social events and providing forums for in-house counsel to meet one another and address issues relevant to their practices.
As we embark upon the start of our second year, we have ambitious plans to build upon our success. We intend to continue our efforts to help enable in-house counsel achieve professional and personal growth through participation in substantive programs and other networking opportunities. We look forward to expanding our relationships with law firms and collaborating with other associations and institutions to bring greater value to our members.
Success is a journey, and we are grateful to be on this journey with so many talented and dedicated members. Along with the members of ACC's Research Triangle Area Chapter, I encourage you to help us leverage our resources and enhance your professional and leadership skills. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events. To find out more about our Chapter and its planned events, please visit our website at www.acca.com.
