To The Readers of The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel :
I'd like to invite all your in-house readers from Central Pennsylvania to join us on May 19 for a dynamic program called Cutting Edge Issues for In-House Counsel 2005: Governance and Beyond. The topics are very timely and, as always, oriented to the in-house point of view. This year, we will tackle issues from Board Self Examination and Mediation of Business Disputes to Ethics and Deferred Compensation. To be held at the Harrisburg Area Community College Wildwood Conference Center, the program is being sponsored by McNees Wallace & Nurick. We thank the firm for its ongoing support as one of our chapter's premier sponsors.
Featuring a full day jam-packed with practical tips for the in-house practitioner, the program runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Continental breakfast and lunch are included. The cost is $90 for ACC members and $100 for non-members. New members receive their first two CLE credits free.
As well as making low-cost CLE programs available to our members, our chapter offers fun networking events. On July 30, we look forward to our gathering of in-house counsel and families at the Harrisburg City Island for the Senators baseball game and picnic. The picnic dinner includes barbecued chicken, hot dogs and hamburgers from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Game time is 6:05 p.m. The cost will be determined as the event nears. We are also sponsoring a community service improvement project on September 24th as part of National Community Service Day.
