Letter From The President Of The Colorado Chapter Of The Association Of Corporate Counsel

To The Readers Of The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel:

I am proud to say that with 317 current members, we rank as the 15th largest ACC chapter in the country. As we continue to grow, we are focusing on three goals Ñ membership, programming and strategic planning.
We already have on hand many exciting programs and more are lined up that I am sure will spark the interest of our corporate members. On February 18 we hosted a program entitled "International Outsourcing: Opportunities And Pitfalls." I would like to thank our terrific speaker, James Nelson of Linquist & Vennum, who led a discussion on how companies should address the challenges raised when they engage in business abroad. In March we sponsored a program on employment and immigration law. We had two wonderful speakers from Holland & Hart speak. Judith Biggs provided an informative overview of the recent changes to employment law for Colorado employers, and Chris Thomas spoke on the challenges that the recent changes in immigration laws raise for employers.
I am truly excited about the success of the programs we have had and am looking forward to our upcoming events. Our April 21 program focuses on insurance law; on May 19 we will discuss environmental law and our June 16 program will be on real estate law.
I want to thank all those who have helped to make these programs a success and look forward to seeing you at our future programs. For more information on these programs and our other activities, visit our Colorado Chapter's page at ACC's website, www.acca.com.

Sincerely,

Karen Shoresman Frame
