To The Readers Of The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel:

Appointment Of AMC As Executive Director

The Greater New York Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC GNY) has appointed American Management Consultants (AMC) as its executive director.

AMC is an award-winning association management company, most recently honored by ACC headquarters for its successes in managing other ACC chapters. AMC was chosen not only for its successful experience in managing other ACC chapters, but also for its focus on customer service and sponsor relations. It has the staff and the resources to manage ACC GNY.

Kathleen Yarborough will be the chief liaison for the chapter. In addition, other AMC staff will assist Kathleen in the execution of chapter-sponsored events. Kathleen's contact information is set out on the chapter's page of the ACC website, www.accgny.com. If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to contact her directly.

As we move into the next decade and the enormous challenges confronting many organizations, ACC GNY, too, must evolve if it is to remain competitive and provide its members and sponsors services that continue to be relevant and support their needs. We are delighted that AMC has accepted this challenge, and we look forward to an exciting future together.

Please join me and the board of directors in welcoming AMC and Kathleen. Your continued support of the Greater New York Chapter of ACC as well as AMC is vital for their future success.

On November 10, 2009 in an afternoon and evening event held at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the Greater New York Chapter hosted a multi-panel ethics CLE program followed by an evening reception. Discussion topics included Creating and Maintaining an Ethical Corporate Environment, In-house Ethics in a Global Enterprise, and Hot Topics in In-House Ethics.

We thank all the participants who attended this CLE event, and hope you enjoyed the reception!

Sincerely,

Nancy Cohen
