To The Readers Of The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel:
The Minnesota Chapter has ushered in the fall season with some great programming and unique opportunities for our members and in-house guests. Remember, if you are an in-house attorney, you don't need to be a member to attend our CLEs and other events.
The Fifth Annual Legal Sampler on September 9 was a great success. Participants were given the opportunity to attend CLE seminars on the topics of product liability, blogging policies, doing business in Canada and indemnification of corporate officers. We want to thank our sponsors, Blake Cassels & Graydon, Bowman and Brooke, Fredrikson & Byron, and Halleland Lewis.
On September 20 MNACCA volunteers partnered with Hearts and Hammers, a private nonprofit organization that provides exterior painting and home improvement assistance for seniors and the physically disabled. Twenty of our members took a break from the practice of law and scraped, painted and landscaped a home in northeast Minneapolis. Then on September 23 MNACCA volunteers took time out of their busy days to staff a pro bono legal clinic for small business owners.
