Attend this course to receive a practical guide to the laws and rules governing lobbying of the federal government and federal officials. Since the enactment of the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act, the disclosures that must be made about federal lobbying activities have become more complex. Additionally, enforcement of the lobbying rules and related gift and travel restrictions is rising, making it critical that attorneys know how to counsel their clients on compliance. Our faculty expert will give you a clear understanding of who has to register as a lobbyist, and how these individuals and their employers can meet the resulting compliance obligations.
