California Rule of Professional Conduct 3-110 states that a member “shall not intentionally, recklessly, or repeatedly fail to perform legal services with competence.”  In this electronic age, courts have made it clear to litigators that competency must include ecompetency.  What kinds of skills are courts looking for and how can litigation counsel meet those requirements?  This CLE hour will examine applicable CPRC rules, and caselaw in the area of ediscovery, ecompetency, and negligence.
