Participants will learn from a distinguished panel of federal and state judges, prosecutors, print and broadcast journalists, and defense and media counsel about the interplay of First Amendment rights to attend and report on criminal trials and the Sixth Amendment right to a trial. Questions to be considered in a high profile trial will include: How should participants and the media conduct themselves? Should the trial be televised?

This program is hosted by the NYSBA Committee on Media Law and Co-sponsored by the Criminal Justice Section.
