Wednesday will be a day of professional practice workshops, including such talks as IP and technology, stopping worldwide trademark counterfeits, new patent world post AIA, trademark and copyright enforcement on social media, keeping trade secrets in a world of social media and cloud computing, and jump-starting careers in IP law. On Thursday, concurrent programs will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will include such offerings in the patent, trademark, copyright, international copyright, and science and technology areas. Thursday’s keynote luncheon speaker is Steven W. Miller, vice president and general counsel of The Proctor & Gamble Co. On Friday, offerings include a morning program titled The International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution: Effective Practices and Protocol for Patent Mediation, and will feature Kathy Bryan, International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution and Kevin Casey, Stradley, Ronon, Stevens & Young LLP as panelists.
