This course will help you understand the barriers to full inclusion of LGBT employees in the workplace as well as how your clients can tear down those barriers with targeted changes to their policies and procedures. This program is a must for in-house attorneys, management lawyers, experts, and human resources professionals. The presenters will discuss employer obligations to prevent discrimination and harassment based on LGBT status. They will identify protocols for inclusion such as the implementation of employee resource groups to create LGBT solidarity and to break down barriers and misconceptions with non-LGBT co-workers. The course will specifically focus on the transgender workforce, who often face the most profound workplace discrimination. It will also cover the implication of same-sex marriage laws on the workforce.
