The smartphone wars are changing the IP landscape. Join our panel of experts as they discuss the landmark decision in Apple v. Samsung and other issues involving Microsoft, Google, and Motorola Mobility. The program will focus on patent litigation involving standard-essential patents (SEPs) from a standard development organization (SDO) viewpoint. Specific topics of the webinar will include these topics: Analysis of new use of standards obligations in litigation; Fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory (FRAND) commitment to attack reasonable royalty rate asserted by SEP owners in order to limit damages; FRAND commitment to attack ability of SEP owners to pursue injunctions; and Failure to comply with obligations to disclose SEPs during standard promulgation may raise issues of unclean hands or fraud, and more.
