This conference features a community of over 800 public company directors who convene each year to address emerging issues, share new ideas and further the pursuit of exemplary board leadership. It offers attendees the opportunity to hear from experts in corporate governance and directors who have developed leading practices to meet boardroom challenges.

The conference opens with discussions of audits, compensation, finance and capital markets, governance and strategy and risk management. A chairman’s address will be delivered by the Hon. Barbara Hackman Franklin, director, Aetna, Inc. and former U.S. secretary of commerce, who will discuss 2012 developments in the NACD.

Day two features a keynote address by Leo Abruzzese, global forecasting director, Economist Intelligence Unit, who will discuss Forecasting the Economic Climate. A panel discussion of the Chief Legal Officer in the New Reality includes Hon. E. Norman Veasey, former chief justice, Delaware Supreme Court and senior partner, Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP and Thomas Sager, senior vice president and general counsel, E.I. Du Pont de Nemours and Company. Another segment will look at Emerging Legal Trends with panelists Hon. Myron Steele, chief justice of the Delaware Supreme Court and Hon. E. Norman Veasey.

The final day features Power Breakfast Sessions: Third Party Risks, FCPA & Conflict Minerals and Succession Planning with Jane Stevenson and Peter Thies of Korn/Ferry International. Another segment will look at the Future of the Regulatory Environment.
