This program will focus on the principal briefs of the named parties, presenting the major political parties.  A unique aspect of the case is that the principal briefs were filed simultaneously rather than sequentially.  As a result, the parties framed the issues differently and did not have the customary opportunity to take turns in presenting their arguments in the case and rebutting their opponents' views.  Each of the named parties had additional parties and amicus briefs presented which were used to highlight certain positions, all culminating in oral argument.
