On Wednesday, April 18, Jones Day will join the ABA Section of International Law to offer a free day of programming for corporate counsel.

The 2012 International Corporate Counsel Day will be held at the Grand Hyatt New York, Park Avenue/Grand Central, at 109 East 42nd Street in New York. A lunch with keynote speaker Cyrus Amir-Mokri, assistant secretary for financial institutions at the U.S. Treasury Department, requires a separate registration and payment. Otherwise, the event is free to corporate counsel.

Corporate Counsel Day is a wonderful opportunity to connect with leading lawyers from corporations, law firms, and companies around the world. Attendees will be able to meet corporate counsel members and discover for themselves how ABA’s International Section can help you add value to your company and expand your professional network.

The panel discussions begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 6:00 p.m. and offer a choice of four programs in four time slots. The panelists will discuss such topics as Selling Consumer Products into the U.S. and Canada – Navigating a New Course to Safety; Commercial Damages in International Contracts; Merger Review in BRIC Countries – Antitrust and Foreign Investment/National Security Restrictions; Ethics Guidelines for International Arbitration: Room for Debate; Minimizing Legal Risk in a Global Economy – Practical Advice on International Compliance; and the Globalization of Anti-Corruption Laws: Looking Beyond FCPA.

Jones Day is hosting a coporate counsel breakfast before the event at 8:00 a.m. at Cipriani Dolci in Grand Central.

CLE credits are available. To make a reservation, contact Jessica Smith at jessicasmith@americanbar.org or call (202) 662-1673.
