Panels from the Port of Long Beach and local government agencies and experienced international trade attorneys will discuss the current legal and business developments in global trade that are impacting Southern California businesses today. Lunch will be provided and the conference will be followed by a complimentary 90-minute boat tour of the Port of Long Beach.
Topics will include Environmental Issues Impacting Global Trade; Protecting the Global Flow of Goods and Services; Port 101 – What’s Happening at the Port of Long Beach in 2012 and Beyond. At the luncheon session, speakers from the Port of Long Beach and the City Attorney’s office will present information about the Port’s current development programs and the various roles the City Attorney plays in assisting with the administration of the Port, including advising the Harbor Commission.
