The two-part series is designed for attorneys new to practice of administrative law and for experienced practitioners seeking a refresher course on the fundamentals. The classes will cover real-world examples as well as legal principles.

Part one will review the informal rulemaking process and provide an overview of rulemaking under the Administrative Procedure Act and the roles of Congress and the courts and how they affect the rulemaking process.

Part two will offer a judicial review of agency decision making. The session will address the scope of reviewability, including the finality and presumption of reviewability; the time of judicial review; statutory construction and regulatory interpretation; and remedies.
