Unraveled is a documentary about Marc Dreier, the prominent NYC attorney who was arrested for orchestrating a massive fraud that netted over $750 million dollars. The film uses Marc Dreier’s personal tale of destruction to prompt dialog about ethics, values and decision making in today’s society. It is a cautionary tale about the consequences that result when greed and entitlement supplant moral responsibility and highlights dissatisfaction in the legal profession -- especially when a highly educated professional has clients who are making considerably more money than he does -- leading to some very dubious choices.
The documentary has been called “One of the most incisive documentaries about the financial crisis” by Stephen Farmer of the Hollywood Reporter.
