Immigration law is a highly visible part of the daily national news. New laws, new regulations and new proposals abound practically on a day-to-day basis. Clients’ lives are substantially impacted and increasing numbers of practitioners in a variety of practice areas are confronted with issues that require a working knowledge of immigration law.

This comprehensive two-day program will provide attendees with insights into immigration law. Experienced immigration lawyers will also benefit from this program because the faculty will examine, in practical terms designed to increase expertise, major practice areas within U.S. Immigration and Nationality Law.

Each day of the program is set up to address stand-alone topics on immigration law and regulations, including status, examination of documents, non-immigrant application basics, inadmissibility and removability, and naturalization, as well as immigration law’s intersection with the substantive fields of employment law and family law.

The program concludes with a useful review of identifying and properly handling ethical quandaries immigration lawyers are likely to face.
