The Southwest Ohio Chapter of the ACC is offering a morning program, Partnering among In-House Counsel, Outside Counsel and Law Schools to Improve Training for Law Students and Lawyers. It will be held Thursday, February 9, at the offices of Frost Brown Todd, 301 East 4th Street in Cincinnati.

The program begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at noon.

With a focus on brainstorming practices for law student and attorney training, this program is intended for all attorneys concerned with the continued professional development needed to provide the knowledge, skills, values, habits and traits that make up the successful modern lawyer.

The session will begin with a presentation on the past, present and future of legal services and legal education. A panel of local legal education experts and practitioners will discuss the current and planned training of law students and young lawyers, and the trends, challenges and opportunities they see. A small group discussion will focus on how every lawyer, (in-house, law school or law firm) can play a role in improving legal education.

The speakers are William Henderson, professor of law at University Maurer School of Law; Todd Bailey, Frost Brown Todd; Gregory Gehlmann, senior vice president and general counsel, First Financial Corporation; and Barbara Wagner, vice president, associate general counsel, Chiquita Brands International, Inc.
