On Tuesday, February 21, the New York County Lawyer’s Association will host the Ida B. Wells-Barnett Justice Award program at the NYCLA home of law at 14 Vesey Street in New York City.
The ceremony begins at 6:00 and ends at 8:00 p.m.
The award will be given in honor of black history month. It acknowledges the work of Ida B. Wells-Barnett, an African-American civil rights advocate who adamantly fought against segregation and in support of women’s rights. This year’s honoree is Loretta E. Lynch, U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York.
