On Wednesday, February 8, the New York County Lawyers’ Association will present Anatomy of a Deposition at NYCLA, 14 Vesey Street in Manhattan.

The class begins at 6:00 and ends at 9:00 p.m.

The pre-trial deposition stage is a critical point in any litigation. Many commercial and other cases are won or lost during the deposition phase. A panel of experts will provide practical guidance while teaching basic deposition skills, techniques for handling commonly encountered problems, how to use depositions at trial and how to seek rulings from a trial judge. A demonstration of how to conduct a deposition will be enacted.

The program chair is Ronald Burke, Kelner & Kelner and the faculty is John Halebian, Lovell, Stewart Halebian, LLP; Douglas Halstrom, L’Abbate, Balkan, Colavita & Contini LLP; and Jay Safer, Locke, Lord, Bissell & Liddell LLP.
