On Friday, March 23, the North Carolina Bar IP Law Section is holding its annual meeting at the NC Bar Center, 8000 Weston Parkway in Cary, North Carolina.
It starts at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 4:45 p.m.
Intellectual property practitioners must stay abreast of the changing legal landscape to advise their clients and develop strategies for protecting intellectual property. The North Carolina Bar has assembled a roster of experts to discuss recent changes and hot topics in patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret law. Program highlights include patent reform and its impact on eligible prior art; strategies and considerations for foreign filings in trademark prosecution; changes to reexamination proceedings and the expansion of the doctrine of intervening rights; and the interplay between the Supreme Court and the Federal Circuit in recent years.
