The conference will begin with a general counsel roundtable, What is Top of Mind in Managing Global Risk? Panelists Laura Stein, senior vice president and general counsel, the Clorox Company; Gail A. Lione, retired general counsel, Harley-Davidson, Inc and Jay B. Stephens, senior vice president, Raytheon Company, will describe how they manage legal matters in a complex global environment with sometimes conflicting laws and regulations.
A panel moderated by Holly A. Silver, president, Holly A. Silver, P.C., will cover Managing the Global Workforce and will feature corporate counsel Mark Nordstrom, senior counsel, General Electric Company, who will review lessons learned in managing employees in a myriad of cultures and legal requirements.
Another notable segment is a Supreme Court Review, which is to be moderated by Professor Steven H. Goldblatt, director of the Supreme Court Institute of Georgetown University, who will discuss the most important Supreme Court cases affecting business and the implications for the future.
Among the speakers are Ona Alston Dosunmu, The Brookings Institute; Ben Heineman, senior fellow, Belfer Center for Science, Harvard University; and Hon. Donald B. Verrilli, Jr., solicitor general of the United States.
