The Pennsylvania Bar Institute will present International Business and the Rise of Emerging Markets on Wednesday, March 7, at PBI’s CLE Conference Center in the Wanamaker Building in Philadelphia.
The program begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:14 p.m.
Doing business internationally offers great opportunities, but lawyers and clients need to be much more aware of its challenges, risks and pitfalls. This course will offer timely advice on how to best advise clients on conducting international business transactions and operations. The course will explore the evolving emerging markets landscape, including BRICI (Brazil, Russia, India, China and Indonesia), and give an overview of the increased enforcement of anticorruption laws, such as the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and anticorruption laws evolving in international markets.
The faculty is Dennis Unkovic, Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP; Michael E. Hooton, H.J. Heinz Company; and David Iwinski, Jr., Jin Fu Consulting LLC.
