On Tuesday, February 28, the Chicago Bar Association will present a seminar examining careers in environmental law at the Chicago Bar Association, 321 South Plymouth Court.
The program begins at 3:00 and ends at 4:30 p.m.
The Careers in Environmental Law program is designed to provide young attorneys and law students with a forum to talk to successful environmental practitioners. The speakers will provide insight into the diverse practices available in environmental law and the paths each attorney took to get to their current position. The speakers will also provide advice to young attorneys looking to start a career in environmental law. The moderators will have prepared questions for the speakers and will also take questions from those in attendance. A cocktail reception after the panel discussion will allow for more informal interaction between the speakers and the young attorneys.
The topics include the career path of each speaker; insights into different environmental practices; and advice for attorneys interested in the environmental field.
The speakers are Gary Steinbauer, assistant regional counsel, U.S. EPA; Kristen Laughridge Gale, Nijman Franzetti, LLP; and Christine Fernandez, assistant general counsel, Climate & Renewables North America, Inc.
