The District of Columbia Bar is offering a luncheon program discussing Hot Topics in the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance on Thursday, January 5, at the DC Bar, 1101 K Street, NW in DC.

The program runs from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Suzanne Hayes, assistant director for the new Large Financial Services Group in the Division of Corporation Finance, discusses emerging issues and areas of frequent comment in the division. Recently, the division has been conducting continuous real-time reviews of the periodic reports filed by some of the largest bank holding companies and other large financial institution. Through its new financial service review office, the division is increasing the number of institutions subject to these reviews, concentrating staff expertise, and developing new review techniques. Many issues that will become division hot topics are first spotted in this office. Attendees will hear first-hand from Ms. Hayes of the latest developments in the division.

The session will be moderated by Carol McGee of Alston & Bird.
