The Missouri Bar Association will run a live video replay of a popular program titled Ethics in Litigation on Friday, January 20, at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites, 2720 N. Glenstone Avenue in Springfield, Missouri.

It starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 12:15 p.m.

Trial and appellate attorneys face numerous professional responsibility challenges. Often the problems that must be faced arise suddenly or in circumstances that are, at best, difficult. In other instances, the questions are unclear or the answers are ambiguous. For example, the lawyers’ duty of candor to tribunals is a recurring source of serious ethics violations and substantial discipline. Lawyers routinely work with co-counsel, yet their corresponding duties and obligations are sometimes clear only in hindsight -- when it is too late. The speakers will discuss issues such as ex parte communications, social media and other thorny issues that create evolving ethical dilemmas. The panelists will address all these issues and provide participants with practical professionalism advice.

The speakers are Bridget G. Hoy, Lewis, Rice & Fingersh, LC; Michael P. Downey, Armstrong Teasdale LLP; Sander C. Sowers, Lear Werts LLP; and Emily A Prestige, Attorney at Law, LLC.

To register for this program visit or call (888) 253-6013.
