The Washington Metropolitan Area Association of Corporate Counsel has scheduled a Corporate and Securities Forum: Getting Ready for the 2012 Proxy Season. It is on Tuesday, November 29, at the offices of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, 1440 New York Avenue, NW in Washington, DC. It is also be available as a webcast from your desktop. The panel will discuss what public companies should be doing to prepare for their 2012 annual meetings. Topics will include how to navigate the second year of “say-on-pay” votes, attempts to establish proxy access through private ordering and the latest proxy voting guidelines from ISS. The course will also cover trends in shareholder proposals and updates on other Dodd-Frank executive compensation reforms.
