The Washington Metropolitan Area Association of Corporate Counsel presents Funny Business? An Entertaining Review of the Top Ten Things In-House Counsel Needs to Know About this Supreme Court Term. The program is on Thursday, November 17 at the Tyson’s Corner Marriott, 8028 Leesburg Pike in Tysons Corner, Virginia. Luncheon begins at noon and program ends at 2:00 p.m.

The seminar will offer an overview of business cases pending before the Supreme Court. The speakers will not only focus on the key takeaways that in-house counsel need to know about the big cases on the Court’s docket, but will also find the party in Ex parte Young or a casual way to sneak in the expletives from FCC v. Fox Television. The program will be quite serious about the Court and its rulings and the significance to organizations, but the speakers will inject a bit of levity into the proceedings.

The faculty is Walter Dellinger, former solicitor general; Cliff Sloan former assistant to the solicitor general; and Amar Sarwal, former general litigation counsel at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
