On Thursday, December 8, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute will present Best Practices in Pre-trial Litigation in the Federal Courts.

It begins at 8:25 a.m. and ends at 12:45 p.m. at the CLE Conference Center in the Wanamaker Building in Central Philadelphia.

Good pre-trial preparation may eliminate the need for a trial at all. In fact, pre-trial practice, discovery, summary judgment, and settlement have become the focus of federal litigation.

This seminar will draw on a wealth of experience from a panel of Eastern District court judges and attorneys who regularly appear before the court. The program offers a useful guide to pre-trial planning for the well-tried case. Utilizing a systematic approach, the panelists will take attendees through the process, sharing concepts and strategies that teach participants to think and act as successful advocates in the practice of pre-trial litigation.

Among the panelists are Hon. Eduardo C. Robreno, Hon. Anita B. Brody, Hon. Jan E. Dubois of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and chief judge Hon. Harvey Bartle, III.
