On Thursday, November 17, the New York County Lawyers’ Association presents Legal Ethics You Need to Know. The session is at NYCLA, 14 Vesey Street in lower Manhattan. It begins at 6:00 and ends at 8:00 p.m.

The seminar will provide participants with an inside look at the attorney disciplinary process and the Rules of Conduct, and discuss how to avoid and respond to disciplinary complaints. A discussion of professionalism and civility will also be reviewed since these issues are not always as simple as they appear.

The featured speaker is Lewis Tesser, a senior partner in the firm of Tesser, Ryan and Rochman, LLP, concentrating his practice in litigation and representing licensed professionals and practices. He is also the chair of the Business Law Committee of the General Practice Section of the New York State Bar Association, and a director of the New York County Lawyers’ Association and the director of NYCLA’s Ethics Institute.
