On Wednesday and Thursday, November 9 and 10, join the Voice of the Defense Bar for a seminar titled DRI Life, Health & Disability Insurance: A Primer for New ERISA and Non-ERISA Practitioners. The seminar is at the offices of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, 222 N. LaSalle Street in Chicago. Wednesday begins with a welcome reception at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner. Thursday’s sessions begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 4:15 p.m.
DRI’s Life Health and Disability Committee will provide updates on developing law for defense practitioners in the ERISA field. Registrants will learn from leading national experts about essential topics confronted on a daily basis such as what is an ERISA plan, interpretations of key provisions in life, health and disability insurance policies and the ins and outs of litigating a non-ERISA bad faith punitive damages lawsuit.
