On Wednesday, November 9, the Wisconsin Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel presents Two Hats, One Lawyer: Demystifying Privilege and Confidentiality for In-House Counsel.

It will be held at the Majestic Theater, 770 North Springfield Avenue in Brookfield, Wisconsin. It begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at noon.

Among the most difficult challenges facing lawyers is ensuring that working conversations are protected by attorney-client privilege. For in-house counsel, there are several wrinkles that make the topic particularly confusing. Throw in related issues of maintaining confidentiality, and in-house counsels have difficult waters to navigate. Join nationally recognized legal educator Stuart Teicher as he provides practical direction on this timely and relevant topic. Issues covered include a general overview of privilege; privilege and special considerations for in-house counsel; the issues of "wearing two hats" as legal advisor and business advisor and how that affects privilege; and international developments regarding privilege with in-house counsel with a discussion of the Akzo Nobel case.
