On Friday, October 14, the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics hosts a regional Compliance and Ethics Conference. This years’ event is at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center, 100 CNN Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The seminar begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m.
The regional conference will provide a forum to interact with local compliance professionals, share information about compliance successes and challenges, and create educational opportunities for compliance professionals to strengthen the industry.
Attendees will learn about current regulatory requirements, government enforcement initiatives, and the management of effective compliance programs. Among the topics are building ethical leaders presented by Col. Jones, RTR commanding officer, U.S. Marine Corps.; keeping your code of conduct current, presented by Jill U. Edmondson, manager, Corporate Compliance and Ethics for The Home Depot; and measuring effectiveness of plans presented by Sharon Zealey, chief ethics and compliance officer, The Coca-Cola Company.
