The Advisory Board of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) has selected John G. Schmidt Jr., a partner with Phillips Lytle LLP, for fellowship in the LCA.
The LCA is an honorary trial lawyer society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in the LCA is highly selective and by invitation only. Fellows are selected based upon effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation.
At Phillips Lytle, Mr. Schmidt concentrates his practice in the areas of business disputes, commercial litigation, employee disloyalty, and class action defense. He serves as co-leader of the firm's Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Team.
Christopher G. Dorman, a partner with Phillips Lytle LLP, will serve on the faculty of a Strafford Continuing Legal Education (CLE) webinar on August 9.
Mr. Dorman, resident in the firm's New York City office, will participate in the live webinar titled, "Structuring Covenants, Representations and Warranties in Commercial Loans: Maximizing Borrower Protection and Lender Remedies." The 90- minute webinar will begin at 1 p.m. Mr. Dorman concentrates his practice in the area of banking and commercial law.
