IN Bar Seminar Will Explore Structuring Limited Liability Companies

The Indiana State Bar Association has scheduled a video replay of a CLE seminar titled Structuring Limited Liability Company From Both a Federal & State Income Tax Standpoint.

The program will take place on Monday, January 15 from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Valpariso School of Law, 656 South Greenwich Street, Valpariso, IN.

Discussions cover issues such as: Accounting Methods, Existence of Partnership; Investment Company; Payments of Retired LLC Member; Self-Employment Tax; Substantial Economic Effect; Taxation of Built-In Gain; Disguised Sale and Mixing Bowl Transactions; Inadvertent Termination of Partnership; Retroactive Amendments to Partnership Agreements; Receipt of Ownership Interest for Services; Comparison to S Corporations; Like-Kind Exchanges; Disregarded State law Partnerships; Disregarded Entity Conversions, and Employment Tax Procedures for Disregarded Entities.
