The Southern California Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America is planning a CLE program titled Roundtable - Protecting and Enforcing Your Brands and On-Line Content.
The program will take place on Wednesday, August 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at a Los Angeles area site to be announced.
In addition to brand identification and registration issues, the program will cover effective strategies against cyber squatting, phishing, keywords, counterfeiting and other cyber-assaults. The discussion will also include practical insight for dealing with domain name dispute proceedings, effective use of VeRO (Verified Rights Owner) programs, U.S. Customs and other resources. Copyright, trademark and unfair competition litigation strategies, both proactive and reactive, will also be discussed.
Lynda Zadra-Symes, a partner at Knobbe, Martens, Olson & Bear, will lead the discussion.
