DELVACCA Offers Program On IP Portfolio Management

Sunday, April 1, 2007 - 00:00

The Delaware Valley Corporate Counsel Association (DELVACCA) and its IP Law
Committee will host an evening CLE meeting on Wednesday, May 2 at the Hotel
DuPont, 11th and Market Streets, in Wilmington, DE

The event, sponsored by Volpe and Koenig, P.C., will feature a cocktail reception
beginning at 5:30 p.m. to be followed by the program, IP Portfolio Management:
From Eureka! To Assets, ending at 8 p.m.

Speakers will be Stephen B. Schott and John C. Donch, Shareholders at Volpe
and Koenig, P.C., and Alex Plache, senior IP counsel at Saint-Gobain Corporation
and chairman of Delvacca’s IP Law Committee. Volpe and Koenig, P.C. is
the corporate sponsor of this event.

At that Eureka moment when you think of a new invention, slogan or idea, you
have “something.” You want to turn that “something”
– that piece of intellectual property – into a valuable asset. This
asset can be a patent, trademark, copyright or trade secret that generates money
from product sales, licensing or litigation. There are several steps between
the Eureka moment and the conversion of that moment into the asset. This presentation
provides guidance and best practice for each of these steps.
