Friday, December 1, 2006 - 01:00

The Top 3 Emerging Issues in International Trade and Investment Law: Proactive Advice for North American Businesses will be discussed in a seminar sponsored by the New York Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel and the firm of Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP.

Christopher Kent, a partner of Fraser Milner in Ottawa, Canada and the national head of the firm's international Trade Practice Group, and Jack A. Levy, DLAPiper US LLP in Washington, DC, will be the featured speakers.

They will discuss the legal and policy challenges posed by these three issues: the emergence of China as an international economic powerhouse; national security concerns and their impact on how the U.S. regulates its international relationships; and the uncertain future of international trade agreements.

The program and breakfast will be held on Thursday, December 7, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Rainbow Room in 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York.

There is no charge for either the program or the breakfast, but those wishing to attend should RSVP to Kimura Anderson by telephone at (212) 218-2980 or email at kimura.anderson @fmc-law.com.
