The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) and the Pro Bono Institute at Georgetown University Law Center will present their 2006 Corporate Pro Bono Challenge Gala on Thursday, November 9 at the Pierre Hotel in New York City.
This year, at the urging of many chief legal officers, the Pro Bono Institute at Georgetown University Law Center and ACC, through their joint project Corporate Pro Bono, developed the Corporate Pro Bono Challenge to empower corporate legal departments to identify, benchmark and communicate their commitment to pro bono service.
This event provides the opportunity for leaders of major law firms and corporate legal departments to honor those within the corporate legal community who developed the Challenge.
The event co-chairs are Brackett B. Denniston III, senior vice president and general counsel, General Electric Company; Regina M. Pisa, chairman and managing partner, Goodwin Procter LLP; Robert C. Sheehan, executive partner, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, and Brad Smith, senior vice president-legal and corporate affairs and general counsel, Microsoft Corporation.
