The Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) has named the law department of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company as its 2012 Employer of Choice Award winner for the Midwest Region. Nationwide was selected from law department applicants of corporations across the
MCCA’s selection committee notes that Nationwide’s commitment to diversity touches every aspect of its law department. The Diversity and Inclusion Council considers issues and makes recommendations that are implemented department-wide. The Diversity Coaching Program pairs “coaches” with senior leaders to help them apply diversity and inclusion to business issues. As a signatory of “A Call to Action -- Diversity in the Legal Profession,” Nationwide supports diversity in the legal profession and selects and works with law firms that share this commitment.
