It will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. all three days.

Morning topics include Texas as an "at-will" state; discrimination, harassment and retaliation and why you need to know about the "shifting burden of proof"; and the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) - the basics of this law and, after being amended, what it now covers.

In the afternoon, the basics of managing employees (hiring, firing, discipline and documentation); defensive drafting: handbooks and forms; investigating sensitive employment complaints; and annual employment reviews will be covered.
