The Southern California ACCA chapter has announced its Pro Bono Award and its Diversity Award honorees for its 15th Annual Gala Dinner to be held April 30, 2010 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel, 404 S. Figueroa Street in downtown Los Angeles.
The ACCA-SoCal Pro Bono Counsel of the Year Award, presented by LexisNexis, will be awarded to Jonathan Anschell, executive vice president and general counsel of CBS. The award is presented annually to in-house attorneys in Southern California who demonstrate the highest ideals of the legal profession through sustained commitment to voluntary service. The ACCA-SoCal Diversity Award, presented by Foley & Lardner, will be awarded to the entire Sempra Energy Law Department. The award is presented to leaders in the Southern California in-house legal community who demonstrate a commitment to improving diversity within the legal profession.
Condoleezza Rice will be the keynote speaker for the event. The Gala will also feature a silent auction to benefit Public Counsel. Public Counsel's 41 in-house attorneys provide free legal and social services in Southern California.
