On Wednesday, June 24, two Pennsylvania locations will benefit from a groupcast of a Practising Law Institute program titled Audit Committee Workshop: Meeting the Challenges of the Financial Crisis. The program will be held at both the PBI Professional Development Conference Center, Heinz 57 Center, 339 Sixth Avenue, Pittsburgh; and the CLE Conference Center, Wanamaker Building, Suite 1010, Philadelphia. At both locations the program will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m.
As the U.S. financial landscape shifts, the roles and responsibilities of audit committees continue to expand and evolve. If you are a director or member of an audit committee, or advise audit committees, you need to understand what's expected in the current environment. PLI's program brings together an expert faculty of public company directors who serve on audit committees, lawyers and CPAs who advise audit committees, and government regulators who oversee the audit and financial reporting processes.
Attendees can expect to come away with practical information and tools to successfully advise clients and perform in today's increasingly complex financial reporting environment.
Faculty for the program will include Gene A. Capello, Pfizer Inc.; Mary Pat McCarthy, KPMG LLP; Meredith Cross, Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP; Albert P. Lilienfeld, Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP; Laurie Smilan, Latham & Watkins LLP; and Debra Wong Yang, Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, LLP.
