Using hypothetical scenarios and interactive, practical instruction, the DC Bar is hosting an upcoming seminar titled Ethics of Email. The program will take place on Wednesday, January 28, from 6 p.m. until 8:15 p.m. at the D.C. Bar Conference Center, 1250 H Street, NW, Washington, D.C.
Attendees can expect to explore the unique issues involving the use of electronic communications and documents by lawyers. A practical approach to the information will help participants learn about the ethical limits on using new technologies when communicating with clients and others; the ethics implications of working with service providers and discarding electronic files; the rules governing communications with adversaries; outsourcing legal work; privilege logs for electronic communications, and much more.
The instructor for the course will be Thomas Spahn, McGuireWoods LLP.
