San Francisco Bar Barristers Club To Host Charity Ball

Monday, September 1, 2008 - 01:00

The Barristers Club of the San Francisco Bar Association will host a fundraising event to support its charity and pro bono programs. It has planned the Crystal Ball, to be held September 20, from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. at the Green Room, the San Francisco War Memorial and Performing Arts Center, 401 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco.

The attire for this event is semi-formal, and participants will enjoy dancing, food and drink, and an auction.

The Barristers Club runs pro bono programs that bring exposure to the legal profession for diverse students.

The goal of September's ball is to raise money for the annual STC East Coast and Law Academy trips. The East Coast Trip takes 20 diverse juniors to tour competitive private colleges in and around New York City and Boston, and the State Capitol trip takes participants in the Law Academy program to meetCalifornia state government legislators, advisors, and lobbyists.
